Cards 2–6 = +1 (low cards that help the dealer, so their removal is good for you). Cards 7–9 = 0 (neutral). Cards 10/J/Q/K/A = -1 (high cards that favor the player when remaining). Keep a running sum throughout each shoe.
True Count = Running Count ÷ Decks Remaining. It normalizes your edge at different shoe depths. True count +2 ≈ 0.5% player advantage. At +4 or higher, bet significantly more.
